With Senegalese rap artist, Sister Fa
I just met this incredible woman, Sister Fa, a Senegalese rap singer.

She was so inspirational to talk with. Not least as her village of Thionck Essyl has now ended female genital cutting. She attests to the change that has happened in the community as a result of the work being done through community empowerment.
I’m trying to upload a video I shot with her earlier, so you can hear her voice for yourself, expressing why she believes raising awareness about FGC is important and the changes that she is seeing in Senegal. BUT my mac is playing up and won’t let me, so the photo will have to suffice for the moment! More later….
